Service Coordination (SC)
The Service Coordinator works directly with individuals with brain injuries to design an individualized Service Plan customized to meet their needs. As their advocate, the Service Coordinator will assist with:
- Medical Services
- Vocational and Educational Resources
- Housing Supports
- Rental and Utility Subsidies
- Financial Benefits
- Referrals
Independent Living Skills Training (ILST)
The ILST works with individuals with brain injuries in their home and
community by assessing skills and developing goals to help them
become more independent in their daily activities. These goals may include:

Structured Day Program (SDP)
"Connections"
"Connections" provides individuals with Brain injuries an opportunity to develop skills in a group setting. The "Connections"
Structured Day Program promotes the development of social and pre-vocational skills through:
- Classroom Education
- Community Volunteering
- Computers
- Art ~ "Make Your Mark" (i.e., Crafts, Music, Theater, etc.).
- Home Economics
- Horticulture
- Recreational Opportunities
Wildlife Defenders is a Structured Day Program Member-Run
Wildlife Conservation Outreach Program
Wildlife Conservation Outreach Program
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Diagnosis of a brain injury
- Eligible for Medicaid
- Between 18 and 64 years old
- Given a choice of living in the community or a nursing facility
